This policy explains what Talia Coffee Catering ("we", "us") collects when you use taliacoffeecatering.com, request a quote, book an event or text with us, and what we do with it. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Quote requests. Your first and last name, mobile number, email, event address or venue, event type, date, start time, number of days, guest count, hours, add-ons, notes, whether you agreed to texts, and the price we quoted.
  • Quote page activity. After your price appears, the quote page tells us whether it's still open, when you leave it and whether you come back. We use this only so our team knows a good time to follow up. We don't track what you do on other websites.
  • Waitlist sign-ups. Your email address and which page you signed up on.
  • Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers. We keep the amount paid, your invoice, and Stripe's reference for your saved payment method so we can charge what your agreement authorizes.
  • Your signed agreement. When you sign our catering agreement, we keep a copy of exactly what you signed with your typed name, the date and time, your IP address and your browser type, so there's a reliable record of the signature.
  • Technical information. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver the site and block abuse. We store a scrambled (hashed) version of it with your quote to limit spam.
  • Messages. Texts, calls and emails between you and our team.

How we use it

  • To answer your quote, text or call you about it, and plan and run your event
  • To send your invoice, take payments, send receipts and charge any balance your agreement authorizes
  • To keep a record of your signed agreement, and to collect and report Texas sales tax
  • To send reminders and updates about your booking
  • To prevent spam and fraud, keep records, and meet legal and tax obligations
  • To improve our service

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services we need to run the business:

  • Our team. The three of us who run Talia Coffee Catering see quotes in a private dashboard and app.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and stores quote and booking records.
  • Stripe processes payments (Stripe's privacy policy).
  • Apple delivers notifications to our team's phones. A notification can include your first name, event type, date, guest count and quoted price.
  • Google Fonts provides our fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google.
  • Photon by Komoot (using OpenStreetMap data) powers the address search in the instant quote, so what you type in that box is sent to it to find matching places.
  • A text-message provider, if we use one to send automatic texts about your quote or booking.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or someone else's, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests as long as they're useful for following up and for our records. Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires, generally four years in Texas. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; we'll delete what we're not required to keep.

Your choices

  • Texts: reply STOP to any automatic text, or tell the team member texting you. See our text message terms.
  • Access, corrections and deletion: email [email protected] and we'll respond within 45 days.
  • Privacy laws: if you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you more rights, contact us and we'll honor your request as the law requires.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections, access limited to our team, and card data kept with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Parents booking for a child's event are the ones we talk to.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Details are in our cookie policy.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
